Dr.-Ing. Thomas Strigl founded iSILOG in 2000 after completing his PHD. Over the years, the company has successfully completed more than 400 simulation projects of airports, warehouses and automobile production systems. As a Siemens PLM Partner iSILOG acted as a reseller for systems like Plant Simulation, Process Simulate and NX Mechatronics Concept Designer. In 2008, Thomas invented  to do virtual commissioning with NX Mechatronics Concept Designer. He created the first interfaces to connect NX with PLCs. This type of virtual commissioning is today one of the most important pillars of the "digital twin" of Siemens PLM. iSILOG implemented NX MCD in numerous companies. Thomas Strigl has been gaining experience with Unity since 2008 in projects for a major plant engineering company in the steel industry. He recognized that the game is changing and that in many areas conventional PLM and simulation solutions are technically not sustainable. Since 2018 Thomas has been fully committed to the use of game technology in mechanical and automation engineering with the company in2Sight GmbH and the product Game4Automation.
